H1N1 UpdateThe McHenry County Department of Health will be offering several H1N1 Vaccination Clinics at MCC on Sunday afternoons over the next couple of months. Confirmed dates are: November 29th, December 6th and December 20th with 3 more anticipated dates in January. For more information, including type of vaccination available (mist or shot), cost, eligibility and setting appointments, please contact the Health Dept. hotline at 815-334-2800. Flu SymptomsKnow the signs and symptoms of the flu. A fever is a temperature taken with a thermometer that is equal to or greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius. Look for possible signs of a fever: if the person feels very warm, has a flushed appearance, or is sweating or shivering. Stay home if you have the flu or flu like illness for at least 24 hours after there is no longer a fever. MESSAGE Wash your hands; cover your cough and stay home when you are sick!
